Update application metadata in the Veracode Platform

Metadata provides detailed information about the application to help you analyze the security performance of all applications in your portfolio. Use standard metadata categories to group and sort portfolio data, and measure performance and policy compliance across applications. Use custom fields to create and track metadata specific to your organization’s needs.

Before you begin:

You must have the Creator or Security Lead role to add or edit application metadata.

To complete this task:

1. In the Veracode Platform, select My Portfolio > Applications.
2. Find the application you want to edit and select Actions > Edit Application.
3. If you want to update metadata, enter comma-separated tags in the Metadata field or enter values in the custom fields. Use custom fields to track data specific to your analysis needs.
4. Select Submit.
