Manage learning

As a Veracode eLearning administrator, you can manage learning in the following ways:

Control course availability

To deliver eLearning courses in a track directly to the learner or through one or more curricula, configure the Course Availability setting.

You can also specify whether the courses are required or optional.

To complete this task:

  1. In the Veracode Platform, from the top-right corner, select the gear icon , and then select Admin. The Administration page opens.

  2. Select the Settings and Curricula tab.

  3. Select one of the following options from the Course Availability dropdown list:

    • Not available: learners cannot access the courses from their track unless the courses are available through one or more assigned curricula.
    • Available: learners can access the courses from their track regardless of whether they are assigned to them through one or more curricula.
    • Required: learners are required to complete the courses in the track. If a course in a curriculum is optional, the setting at the curriculum level takes precedence over this setting, and the course remains optional.

Learner levels

Learner levels is a predefined, graded, Veracode Verified certification program provided by Veracode. The Veracode Verified program helps your company showcase their secure software development practices.

Each course in the eLearning track is associated with a learner level. Enabling learner levels allows learners to obtain a certificate when they complete courses from a certain level and against certain specifications. After you enable learner levels, when a learner signs in and opens My Courses, they can see the learner level for each course.

A learner can complete courses from three available learner levels:

  • Level 1: Developer Security Fundamentals
  • Level 2: Verified Team Security Champion
  • Level 3: Verified Continuous Security Champion

The following example shows the learning requirements to achieve the Level 2: Verified Team Security Champion certificate.
