About Dynamic Analysis statuses
You can view Dynamic Analysis scans to verify status updates. All actions and statuses are available in the activity log located at the bottom of the Dynamic Analysis summary page.
After you have submitted your Dynamic Analysis, you can return to the list of Dynamic Analysis scans at any time to verify status updates. To find a specific Dynamic Analysis scan, enter the name of a scan and select Find.
Dynamic Analysis statuses
This table lists all the possible statuses for a Dynamic Analysis.
Status | Description |
---|---|
Completed - Verifying Results | The Dynamic Analysis has successfully completed. Veracode is verifying the results, which will be available after the review is complete. |
Completed - Verifying Partial Results | The Dynamic Analysis has completed with partial results because one or more scans failed verification. Veracode is verifying the results, which will be available after the review is complete. |
Completed - Partial Results Available | The Dynamic Analysis has completed. Only partial results are available due to user action, verification failure, scan duration completion, or system error. |
Completed - Results Available | Dynamic Analysis has successfully completed and you can now view your results. |
In Progress | Dynamic Analysis has started and is running. |
In Progress + showing a warning icon | Dynamic Analysis has started and is running. However, one or more target URLs have failed verification. |
Not Submitted | There has been a technical issue. Try submitting your Dynamic Analysis again. |
Prescanning | Veracode is prescanning the URLs in the Dynamic Analysis to verify the connection and authentication configurations. |
Queued | Dynamic Analysis is submitted and awaiting scan capacity availability. |
Scheduled | Dynamic Analysis is scheduled. |
Stopped - Deleting Results | A user has stopped the Dynamic Analysis and opted to delete the results. |
Stopped - Saving Results | A user has stopped the Dynamic Analysis and opted to save the results. |
Stopped - Scan Duration Ended | Scan duration time frame has ended, preventing the scan from continuing. Increase the scan duration setting if you need more time for your scan to complete. |
Stopped - Scan Duration Ended With Partial Results | Scan duration time frame has ended, preventing the scan from continuing. Veracode is verifying the results, which will be available after the review is complete. |
Stopped - Technical Issue | There has been an issue and the Dynamic Analysis has stopped. Contact Veracode Technical Support if this issue persists. |
Stopped - Verifying Results | Dynamic Analysis completed as much of the scan as possible and results are available for you to view. |
Stopped - Verifying Partial Results | The Dynamic Analysis stopped either by user action, verification failure, scan duration completion, or system error. Veracode is verifying the partial results, which will be available after the review is complete. |
Stopped - Partial Results Available | The Dynamic Analysis stopped by user action. Only partial results are available. |
Time Expired - Verifying Partial Results | The Dynamic Analysis duration timeframe has ended with partial results. Veracode is verifying the results, which will be available after the review is complete. Increase the duration setting if you need more time for your Dynamic Analysis to complete. |
Submitted | You have successfully submitted your Dynamic Analysis. |
All Verifications Failed | All scans failed verification and the Dynamic Analysis will not scan. Review all scan configurations and retry. |
You can filter on the specific status of the Dynamic Analysis scans if you want to only see a list of the scans that are in a specific state. In the Filter by Status dropdown menu, select the status on which you want to filter.
URL or API specification scan statuses
You can view the status of a specific URL scan or API specification scan in a Dynamic Analysis on the Scan Details tab.
The URL scan status provides additional information about the individual scan associated with the URL, which can differ from the status of the overall analysis. The URL scan status is also displayed in the list of URLs on the Dynamic Analysis Summary page.
URL Scan Status | Description |
---|---|
Submit Failed | Veracode encountered a technical issue that prevented it from scanning the URL. |
Scheduled | URL is scheduled to scan. |
Submitted | Veracode has received your scan request. |
In Progress | Scan has started. |
Verification Failed | Veracode cannot scan the URL. Review the URL configuration and try again. |
Queued with warning | Scan is in the queue due to lack of subscription capacity. |
Queued | Scan is in the queue and ready to start. |
Stopping - Saving Results | A user has stopped the scan and chosen to save the results. |
Stopping - Deleting Results | A user has stopped the scan and chosen to delete the results. |
Stopped | Scan has successfully stopped. |
Site unreachable - Stopped | Scan stopped because the site became unreachable. Verify the site you are scanning is up and has stable network connectivity. |
Site unreachable - Verifying Results | Scan stopped because the site became unreachable. Verify the site you are scanning is up and has stable network connectivity. Veracode is verifying the results, which will be available after the review is complete. |
Site unreachable - Results Available | Scan stopped because the site became unreachable. Results are available but may have lower than expected coverage due to the early termination of the scan. |
Time Expired - Stopped | Scan duration time frame has ended, preventing the scan from continuing. Increase the scan duration setting if you need more time for your scan to complete. |
Technical Issue - Stopped | Veracode encountered a technical issue that prevented the scan from continuing. |

Pausing | Scan is scheduled to automatically pause. |
Resuming | Scan is scheduled to automatically resume. |
Stopped - Verifying Partial Results | A user stopped this scan. Veracode is verifying the results, which will be available after the review is complete. |

Scan Error - Verifying Partial Results | This scan has stopped unexpectedly. Veracode is verifying the results, which will be available after the review is complete. |

Lockout - Verifying Partial Results | The scan engine stopped the scan due to consecutive failed attempts to sign in to the application. Veracode is verifying the results, which will be available after the review is complete. |

Crawl Script Error | Veracode could not scan the URL due to errors in the crawl script. Review your crawl script and try again. |
Authentication Error | Veracode could not scan the URL due to authentication errors. Review the credentials to ensure they are accurate, and check the Selenium login and logout scripts. |
Connection Error | Veracode could not connect to the target URL. Verify that the site is internet-accessible. If it is not, you need to configure Veracode Internal Scanning Management (ISM). |
