Use the EASM interface

Use the EASM interface to manage and monitor your external attack surface. The left navigation sidebar provides access to your dashboard, asset inventory, security findings, analytics, reports, and administrative settings. Notifications keep you informed about scan events in real time.

Left navigation sidebar​

The left navigation sidebar in EASM is your primary tool for accessing key sections and features. The sidebar remains visible while you work with assets, scans, and reports.

The sidebar includes the following sections:

  • Dashboard: view key insights from scans, monitor discovery progress, and compare results over time.
  • Inventory: view and manage discovered external assets, including domains, applications, IP addresses, and their relationships.
  • Findings: view security findings and vulnerabilities identified during scans, prioritized by risk severity and recommended actions.
  • Analytics: view detailed analytics and insights about your attack surface, including trends and metrics.
  • Reporting: generate and download comprehensive reports on your external attack surface and remediation progress.
  • Admin & settings: manage business units, scan parameters, notification settings, and other administrative configurations.

Scan notifications​

Scan notifications provide real-time in-app alerts when scans reach a terminal state (completed, failed, or canceled). The notifications icon in the global header displays a badge showing the number of unread notifications. EASM retains notifications for 30 days.

To view notifications:

  1. Sign in to the Veracode Platform.
  2. Select Scans and Analysis > EASM.
  3. Select the notifications icon in the global header. The notification panel opens and displays notifications in two sections:
    • New: unread notifications from your most recent scans.
    • Earlier: notifications you have already read.
  4. To mark all notifications as read, select Mark all as read at the top of the panel.
  5. Select a notification to open the associated job execution. EASM automatically marks the notification as read.
