Reset a password when your account is locked

If you fail to sign in five times in a row, then Veracode locks your account for 30 minutes to protect against brute-force attacks. Veracode sends you an email notifying you that your account is locked.

To complete this task:

  1. In the email from Veracode about your locked account, select Unlock Account. This link opens the Unlock Account page in your browser.
  2. Enter your username or email address.
  3. Select Send Email.
  4. In the email from Veracode about your account unlock request, select Unlock Account. The Unlock Account link is valid for one hour.
  5. Answer your security question.
  6. Select Unlock Account.
  7. Select Back to Sign In. If you do not remember your password, reset it using Reset a Forgotten Password.
