Reset a password when your account is locked
If you fail to sign in five times in a row, then Veracode locks your account for 30 minutes to protect against brute-force attacks. Veracode sends you an email notifying you that your account is locked.
To complete this task:
- In the email from Veracode about your locked account, select Unlock Account. This link opens the Unlock Account page in your browser.
- Enter your username or email address.
- Select Send Email.
- In the email from Veracode about your account unlock request, select Unlock Account. The Unlock Account link is valid for one hour.
- Answer your security question.
- Select Unlock Account.
- Select Back to Sign In. If you do not remember your password, reset it using Reset a Forgotten Password.
