Export scan results

In addition to viewing scan results in the Dashboard, you can create and export reports to share findings. Reports can be both standardised and tailored to meet specific requirements.

Prerequisites

• You must have a Veracode account with the Project Admin role for EASM.

Create report template

To create a report, you must first create a report template, if none exists.

To complete this task:

1. Sign in to the Veracode Platform.
2. Select Scans and Analysis > EASM.
3. Select the Settings icon .
4. Select the Reports tab.
5. Select the CREATE A REPORT button and choose one of the following report categories from the dropdown:
   • XLSX template 1: an Excel template, ideal for raw data extracts or remediation plans.
   • Xlsx delta template 2: a Delta template designed to compare data between two scans, highlighting any changes that have occurred.
   • Pptx template 1: a PowerPoint template, best for creating visually engaging reports.
6. Existing report templates appear in a table with six columns. You can sort and filter templates using the column headings or the search bar.

Customize XLSX template 1

If you select XLSX template 1 when you create a report template, you will be redirected to a page where you can customize it.

To complete this task:

1. In the Report title field, enter a name for the template.
2. Select the report type from the following:
   • Raw extract: generates a report with all data that matches the applied filters and rules. Use this option to target specific criteria such as applications, IP ranges, or certificates. Use the dropdown menus to apply filters and rules.
   • Remediation plan: a predefined template designed to guide remediation priorities across applications and software. While top-level parameters are preconfigured, you can further customize rules and filters.

Customize Xlsx delta template 2

If you choose Xlsx delta template 2 option when you create a report template, you will be redirected to a page where you can customize it.

To complete this task:

1. In the Report title field, enter a name for the template.
2. To compare the asset types, use the Things dropdown to select assets.
3. Add custom rules to filter data.
4. Create Groups to structure logic conditions.
5. Use the toggle and/or function to refine logical operations.
6. Select Save to save template for future use.

Customize Pptx template 1

If you select Pptx template 1 when you create a report template, you will be redirected to a page where you can customize it.

To complete this task:

1. In the Report title field, enter a name for the template.
2. Use the slider to choose how many graphical indicators (dashlets) to display per page (range: 1 to 4). Dashlets show graphical data, such as line, bar, or column charts, representing key findings like missing headers or expired certificates.
3. To include or exclude a main page showing a summary snapshot of the report, use the toggle switch next to the slider.
4. Select Add a Dashlet button.
5. In the pop-up window:
   • Label your dashlet.
   • Select the chart type from the first drop-down menu (e.g., line, bar, column).
   • Select the indicator(s) from the second drop-down menu.
6. To insert it into the dashlet table, select Add a Dashlet.
7. Review the dashlet table.

Generate reports

Once you have set up your templates, you can begin generating reports.

To complete this task:

1. Sign in to the Veracode Platform.
2. Select Scans and Analysis > EASM.
3. Select the Dashboard icon .
4. Select CREATE A NEW EXPORT.
5. Locate the required report template and in the Actions column, select the export icon . To view the status of the report, select the reports icon .

Download reports

Depending on the volume of data, report generation can take a few minutes to several hours. When the report is ready, it appears in the Exports module.

Before you begin:

• The report must be generated. To view the status of the report, select the reports icon.

To complete this task:

1. Sign in to the Veracode Platform.
2. Select Scans and Analysis > EASM.
3. To download the report, select the Export icon . Locate the report in the table, and in the Actions column, select the download icon .

Delete reports

You can delete the reports from the export table.

To complete this task:

1. Sign in to the Veracode Platform.
2. Select Scans and Analysis > EASM.
3. To delete the report, select the Export icon. Locate the report in the table, and in the Actions column, select the delete icon .
