Creating and Deleting Workspaces

Veracode Software Composition Analysis

Creating and deleting workspaces in Veracode Software Composition Analysis allows you to better organize your organization by differentiating where agent-based scan results go.

Creating Workspaces

You can also perform this task with the SCA Agent REST API.

You must have the Security Lead or Creator role to create workspaces.

  1. In the Veracode Platform, select Scans & Analysis > Software Composition Analysis.
  2. Click the Agent-Based Scan tab.
  3. Select Actions > Create Workspace.
  4. Enter a workspace name.
  5. If you want to add teams to the workspace, click More Options and, then, select the teams you want to add.
  6. Click Create.

After creating the workspace, you can set up the workspace agent.

Deleting Workspaces

You can also perform this task with the SCA Agent REST API.

You must have the Security Lead, Creator, or Workspace Administrator role to delete workspaces.
Note: Deleting workspaces permanently deletes the agents and any data associated with that workspace.
  1. In the Veracode Platform, select Scans & Analysis > Software Composition Analysis.
  2. Click the Agent-Based Scan tab.
  3. Select a workspace.
  4. Click Settings from the Manage Workspace menu.
  5. Click Delete Workspace.
  6. Click Yes, Delete to permanently delete the workspace.
