Access Veracode
To access Veracode, you need a Veracode Platform account. Your local Administrator or Veracode Account Manager creates your account and sends you an activation email.
Activate your Veracode Platform account
You can sign in to the Veracode Platform after an Administrator creates an account for you.
Before you begin:
- An Administrator admin has created a Veracode account associated with your email.
- Your web browser meets the minimum requirements.
- The Sign in page for the Veracode Platform and the Sign page for both the IDE plugins and the CLI use different URLs. If your account uses fingerprint or biometric multifactor authentication, ensure you use the correct URL for the product you're using. You can only use one of these URLs with these authentication methods, but you can use both URLs in an authenticator application.
After your account is created, you receive a welcome email from Veracode.
To complete this task:
-
Select Activate Account in the Veracode welcome email. The Veracode Welcome page opens in your browser.
ImportantThe Activate Account button is valid for seven days. If it expires before you activate your account, ask an Administrator to send you a new activation link.
-
Enter and confirm the password for your Veracode Platform account.
-
Select a security question to use for password resets.
-
Enter the answer to your security question.
-
Select Create My Account. The Sign in page opens.
-
Enter your username or email address and select Next. Your username is most likely your email address and appears in the welcome email.
-
Enter your password and select Sign in.
-
If your account uses multifactor authentication, select Setup. For detailed steps, see Optional multifactor authentication.
-
To complete authentication, follow the onscreen instructions.
-
Read the Veracode usage guidelines and select the I have read and agree to the Usage Guidelines checkbox.
-
Select Save. For added security, configure multifactor authentication.
Sign in to the Veracode Platform
You can sign in to the Veracode Platform from any supported web browser using your Veracode account.
Before you begin:
- You have an activated Veracode account.
- Your web browser meets the minimum requirements.
- You have allowed access to required domains and IP addresses.
- The Sign in page for the Veracode Platform and the Sign page for both the IDE plugins and the CLI use different URLs. If your account uses fingerprint or biometric multifactor authentication, ensure you use the correct URL for the products you're using. You can use only one of these URLs with these authentication methods, but you can use both URLs in an authenticator application.
To complete this task:
- Go to the Veracode Platform using the appropriate domain for your region. If your organization uses single sign-on (SSO), select the link, or tile, in your identity provider (IdP), such as Okta, Ping Identity, or Microsoft Entra ID.
- Enter your username or email address and select Next. Your username is most likely your email address.
- Enter your password and select Sign in. If you forget your password, select Need help signing in? > Forgot password?, then reset your password.
- If your account uses multifactor authentication, enter the authentication code and select Verify.
- Optionally, generate Veracode API credentials, which you use to authenticate in the Veracode APIs and integrations. If your organization uses SSO, you can sign in from the IDE integrations or the Veracode CLI without using API credentials.
Most pages in the Veracode Platform automatically sign you out after 15 minutes, and the platform signs you out entirely after 24 hours.
